The Core Facility Experimental Biomodels supports research groups in the planning and execution of their preclinical in vivo studies with both extensive expertise and a modern, specialized infrastructure.
This includes consulting and assistance for project proposal submission and project establishment, as well as the implementation of innovative surgical techniques and therapeutic procedures. The focus, in addition to small laboratory animals, is on interventions in large laboratory animals such as rabbits, sheep, goats, and pigs. Thus, the Core Facility Experimental Biomodels at the Medical University of Graz is one of the few facilities in Austria capable of performing animal experimental procedures on large laboratory animals.
