Biomedizinische Forschung

With its extensive know-how, modern and specialized infrastructure and ISO-certified processes, the Experimental Biomodels Core Facility provides significant support to the preclinical research area at the Medical University of Graz.

The Experimental Biomodels CF helps establish operation techniques and therapeutic procedures and provides special training for veterinarians in the field of laboratory animal anaesthesia through the ECVAA Satellite Training Center (European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia).

With a 300 m² OP surface area, the ISO 9001:2015 certified OP block meets the medical standards for humans:

ECVAA Satellite Training Centre

Biomedical Research—an accredited ECVAA Satellite Training Centre, 2016–2021

The training to become a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA diplomate) is a standardized and highly specialized international form of postgraduate specialist training and examination in veterinary medicine.

Veterinarians who are already in training to become an ECVAA diplomate can complete the laboratory animal anesthesia part of this training at the Experimental Biomodels Core Facility (at Biomedical Research in Graz). We are also a registered internship location for students of veterinary medicine.
