ECVAA Satellite Training Centre

As part of the Biomedical Research organizational unit, the Core Facility Experimental Biomodels is an accredited ECVAA Satellite Training Centre.

The training to become an „EBVSTM European Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia“is a standardized and highly specialized international form of postgraduate specialist education and examination for veterinarians in Europe. 

Veterinarians undergoing training to become EBVSTM European Specialists in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia can complete part of this training—the laboratory animal anesthesia—at the Core Facility Experimental Biomodels within Biomedical Research Graz.

The focus of the training at the Core Facility Experimental Biomodels lies on anesthesia and analgesia in cardiovascular, neurovascular, and orthopedic procedures as well as transplantation surgeries on large laboratory animals such as pigs, minipigs, sheep, and goats.
