The Biomedical Research team offers a range of training courses for researchers, students, technical staff, laboratory animal caretakers, students, and other interested parties, and organizes events in the field of laboratory animal science and alternative methods.
The main focus of Biomedical Research at the Medical University of Graz is the application of the 3Rs by Russell and Burch — Replacement, Reduction, Refinement — in experimental procedures and education. This is addressed both through training courses on animal experimentation and through the application of 3R methods. The courses provide theoretical and practical instruction on the training topics.
