Micro CT

Micro-Computed Tomography

The SkyScan 1276 High Resolution in vivo X-Ray Microtomograph (Bruker) enables continuous visualization of the internal structures of small animals or materials with a spatial resolution of up to approximately 2.8 µm. The use of modern contrast agents allows detailed visualization of both skeletal and soft tissues.

The Bruker SkyScan 1276 is particularly distinguished in the preclinical field by its comparatively low radiation exposure and the capability for continuous physiological monitoring.
For data analysis, the 3D.SUITE software (Bruker) is available.

Applications

Bone structure analyses, bone density measurements
Implant investigations of various materials (e.g., titanium or 3D-printed implants)
Soft tissue examinations (contrast agents)
Material analyses
